Today was selection test 1! I am predicting a score of:
Let’s see if I’m right - I’m gonna make a little stats page of all my test scores to see my progress and update it whenever I get a test back.
(P.S. Again I am writing in the future; I slept too late and tried to get rest lol)
It went pretty well - the problems were tricky but fun. I was able to solve 4/6 questions, which is ok and should get me to qualify. However, the reason I lost marks on the other questions was because of some dumb things I didn’t revise, like . I also really need to practice angular momentum - the other question I missed was a simple application of it, but somehow I wasn’t able to do it because I made a pretty dumb assumption of just working in the CM frame and reversing the speeds, which wouldn’t have worked because of the rotational kinetic energy present.
I’m starting my study of electricity and magnetism using Purcell now - I will post daily updates and summaries for what I learn starting on monday.
